We continue to lead the way in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, and through it all, Service is our Passion has never wavered.
In mid-November we held our second Park & Pray. We had a great turnout, and truly felt the love, support and prayers of our community.
On November 16, we officially opened our “Medical Tents,” or Auxiliary Medical Units (AMU) to patients. These additional care units helped improve patient flow and discharge planning. By creating more space for lower acuity patients, UMC was able to leverage existing hospital beds to care for more critical patients suffering from COVID.
And on November 24: Monoclonal Antibody Therapy was provided for the first time in our AMBUS treatment site. We’ve already provided over 170 treatments and plan to relocate these efforts to one of the AMUs as a long-term solution. A HUGE thanks goes out to our Ambulatory Infusion Center, UMC EMS, Pharmacy Nursing Administration and Medical staff for helping us make this happen for our patients.
Thank you for your continued efforts in this fight, and for not backing down. Together we remain firm, not fearful.
