Employee of the Month
Jackie Adams, Paramedic
EMS
In March, Jacquelyn did something really special. She took part in the Bataan Memorial Death March to remember soldiers who went through tough times during World War II. She carried heavy backpacks filled with food for over 26 miles, just like they did. Jacquelyn asked our community for help and received lots of food and hygiene products to donate. She finished the march in less than 10 hours! Jacquelyn is not only a great ambassador for our hospital, but she also goes the extra mile to help others. Her courage, strength, and determination shine in everything she does. Jacquelyn is a true UMC All Star!

Attending of the Month
Robyn Richmond, MD
Texas Tech Physicians
Dr. Richmond is an amazing doctor who always goes the extra mile for both patients and the staff. She cares deeply about her patients and listens to their needs. When a patient had strict dietary restrictions, Dr. Richmond personally talked to the patient, learned about his food preferences, and even ordered a special meal that he loved from outside the hospital. The patient felt like Dr. Richmond was taking care of him just like his mother does. We all appreciate and admire Dr. Richmond’s compassionate heart and dedication.

House Staff of the Month
Bailey Gutierrez, MD
TTUHSC, Department of Surgery
Dr. Gutierrez, who was overseeing one of my patients, went above and beyond. She actively sought me out to discuss the patient’s care plan, expressing her concerns and addressing urgent issues. Dr. Gutierrez advocated for a psychological consultation before discharging the patient, emphasizing the importance of addressing their worsening condition. Her kindness, care, and willingness to assist were exceptional and greatly appreciated. Thank you, Dr. Gutierrez, for your outstanding dedication to our patients.

Advanced Practice Professional of the Quarter
Meagan Sheldon, APRN
TTUHSC, Department of Internal Medicine
Meagan, a devoted nurse practitioner, showed incredible kindness by going above and beyond her regular duties. While taking care of patients in the MICU, she spotted a dangerous situation – a slippery area near a patient’s bed. Without delay, Meagan took action and cleaned it up to make sure everyone stayed safe. Her caring and proactive approach to patient care reflects the true essence of healthcare. We commend Meagan for her strong dedication to our team and her exceptional commitment to our patients’ well-being. Thank you, Meagan!
