Speech Language Pathology

• UMC Health System provides outpatient speech-language pathology services at two
  locations, serving the needs of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. Our team is skilled
  in the treatment of a variety of diagnoses for improvement in communication and
  feeding/swallowing.

Treatment services include but are not limited to:

• Instrumental Diagnostics
  • Modified Barium Swallow Studies
  • Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing
  • Videostroboscopy
  • Vocal Cord Dysfunction
  • Velopharyngeal Incompetency Assessment
• Voice Evaluation and Treatment
• Dysphagia (swallowing) Evaluation and Treatment
• Head & Neck Cancer Management
  • Laryngectomy care, including voice prosthesis replacement
  • Dysphagia due to current or previous radiation therapy to the head/neck
  • Lymphedema treatment
