Emergency Medicine Residency
UMC Health System is honored to welcome our first EVER class of Emergency Medicine residents! Our partnership with the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center has proven fruitful many times over the years, and we are grateful to partner with them to provide the region’s first Emergency Residency Program.
At UMC, our mission is Education – training tomorrow’s healthcare professionals. UMC’s Emergency Medicine (EM) residency, in partnership with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, has a singular goal in mind – to improve emergency care throughout West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. To do that we must attract, develop, and retain EM physicians.
The program yields tremendous benefits:
- Expanded Emergency Telemedicine availability to regional/rural medical centers and clinics.
- Increased EM Physician coverage for regional/rural medical centers.
- More Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians available to care for our region.
Our EM Resident Physicians receive world-class training, as they care for critically injured patients. That means you and your family will receive the very best in care.
